While social media is a great way to connect with the people around you, it's also one of the biggest ways we isolate ourselves from others. We use social media to show off the best parts of ourselves, our lives, and our day. You rarely see someone post about something they're embarrassed about, or a bad part of their day. We like to show off the good in our lives to prove and trick people that we have the perfect lives society expects us to have. Social media both connects us and separates us, making us both "together" but at the same "alone".
